MAKE THE GIRL DANCE (PARIS, FRANCE)

Make The Girl Dance

http://www.myspace.com/makethegirldance

They are 2 guys. Their names : Greg Kozo and Pierre Mathieu. They aren’t that tall, one is thinner than the other, but the other does have more hair. They won an incredible bet : the one to make their band famous all around the world in less than 3 days ! To make it, a very simple idea : 3 naked girls, a music video, 8 millions of views on the internet and after a whole year, locked up in a studio, here they are! The phone rings : “Guys, it’s MTV, they want to spread the video all around Europe. What do we say ?” ; “Oh ! Someone just contacted us on Myspace to play in Finland. Funny !”, “Guitar Hero wants our song for the WW trailer ad, how much do we ask for ?” ; “Yesterday we signed with Japan, if it’s a joke, it’s not funny !” ; “ And eh … What if we asked Bondo de Role in Brazil to work on some lyrics for a track ? Yeah, that’s kind of a good idea” The magic has happened, they’ve reached their main purpose : they’ve made the girl dance. They know they still have a lot of things to prove but the second track and the next music video are already predicting something huge. From now, nothing can stop them and if they unfortunately crash, it will be on the Coachella Festival’s wall, but not before ! And in between, there’ll be a CD album in 2010, sold half less much than Thriller but still sold. The lives with the Daft Punk as the opening show, (who’ll have gathered again just for Greg and Pierre of course), the american tour-bus and everything that it implies (like the girls who will beg to have sex with them, and whom they’ll tell : “go away, leave me alone, I have a girlfriend …) and despite that odious success , Toxic Avenger, Gaspard, Birdy Nam Nam, the all Ed Banger crew and the French Touch generally speaking will say with a gentle smile : “ How nice they are …” Because YES, they also are nice guys.

PANIC BOMBER (MIAMI, FL)

Panic Bomber

Panic Bomber is a new breed of dance floor innovator who has quickly begun to cause quite a stir. The brainchild and alter ego of Miami-based musician Richard Haig - Panic Bomber fuses live vocals, keyboards, interactive video and most notably his custom-built light suit. Panic Bomber transforms himself into a glowing dance-floor conductor, climaxing with a pulsating heart bomb. The music is instantly appealing, undeniable infectious but difficult to describe. Hipsters, jocks, models, fashionistas, pets, and new lovers have been pulsating to his mix of electro, tech-house, trance, pop, rock, IDM, or whatever else he spews. Panic Bombers can be androgynous a la Bowie, but there is no confusion - his music is straight up composed for the dance-floor. PB was named Miami New Times Electronic Artist of the Year – 2009

KEYS N KRATES (TORONTO, CANADA)

Keys N Krates

If you're like me than I don't expect you to believe it when you hear people preaching that Keys n Krates are the ultimate live remixing experience, but you'll soon know why. Hailing from Toronto, this unique trio combines live-instrumentation, turntablism and live sampling to not only reinterpret but also reinvent existing music of all genres; right before your very eyes. With the remix culture these days being dominated by artists behind laptops, Keys n Krates are changing the game by bringing a refreshing live, hands-on approach, to the burgeoning scene of remixing. With the hard hitting Adam Tune on the drums, World Champion DJ Jr-Flo behind the turntables, and the ever-soulful Matisse on keys, this mind-blowing band is single handedly "Re-Inventing the Remix." In early 2009 all their hard work began to pay off when the talented live-remixing trio was featured in URB Magazine's "Next 100" issue, joining acts such as Passion Pit, Drake, and more. Without skipping a beat the band hit the road last year with a vengeance, playing over 150 shows nationally and internationally while also releasing an URB sponsored remix-tape and video entitled "Live Remixing 101" this past winter. Since then, they have received numerous features and write-ups from both print and online publications such as URB Magazine, Vapors Magazine, Spinner.com (AOL’s music site), Beyond Race Magazine, Evil Monito, Hip Hop Official, Format Magazine, and Discobelle to name a few. Recently they've also shared the stage with artists like Kid Cudi, Steve Aoki, Questlove, and Timbaland, while continuing to tour all over the world spreading their influential remixes to the masses. In addition to the stage, the trio has also been diligently working in the studio to craft their next mix-tape along with their first studio album which is set to drop later this fall. Needless to say this is just the beginning for Keys n Krates so be sure to keep an eye out and an ear open, you'll thank us later.

NATURE BOY

JJ Jungle aka Nature Boy aka Notchohomboy aka JonMalik aka Sorriso, can often be seen in airports heading to his next sold out show. Right now he's in Austin, but on Saturday, he begins his month long residancy in tropical Costa Rica. Even if we don't know what to call him, we know that he can rock your balls off!
